In response to Sunday's United States debut of Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, PETA has released a parody game called "Pokémon Black and Blue" with the tagline "Gotta free 'em all."
The game has users play as an escaped Pokémon, Pikachu, who fights trainers so that other Pokémon can also escape the abuse of being forced to fight.
"Much like animals in the real world, Pokémon are treated as unfeeling objects and used for such things as human entertainment and as subjects in experiments," PETA wrote in a statement. ""The way that Pokémon are stuffed into Pokéballs is similar to how circuses chain elephants inside railroad cars and let them out only to perform confusing and often painful tricks that were taught using sharp steel-tipped bullhooks and electric shock prods."
According to the game, however, electrocuting humans seems to be just fine.
Try the game below, then tell us what you think. Did PETA go overboard?
