Photobomb Duo Tina Fey and Amy Poehler Will Host Golden Globes

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, who anchored Saturday Night Light's "Weekend Update" together from 2004 to 2006, are teaming up again — but this time as co-hosts of the 70th Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 13.

During the 69th Golden Globes in January, a moment involving both comedians went viral online. Fey sneaked into the shot — a.k.a. photobombed — Poehler when the camera was locked on the latter during the presentation for Best Actress in a Television series Musical or Comedy.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the co-hosts Monday night. The Office creator Ricky Gervais, who recently released a voice-centric audio app called Just Sayin', hosted the show for the past three years. Previously, the Golden Globes opted not to have a host.

"The unparalleled comedic timing of Tina and Amy will surely have viewers wanting to tune in to see them in action," HFPA president Aida Takla-O'Reilly said in a statement. "The HFPA is thrilled to have the magnetic duo be a part of the show's 70th anniversary."

"Tina Fey and Amy Poehler" was a worldwide trending topic on Twitter at the time of this writing.

Fey won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Liz Lemon on 30 Rock, which is in its final season, in 2008 and 2009 and has been nominated in that category every year since then. Poehler was nominated in the same category in 2012 for her role as Leslie Knope on Parks and Recreation.
