Britney Spears Releases 'Work B**ch' Early to Combat Song Leak

Pop star Britney Spears was dismayed to discover that a low-quality version of her song, "Work B**ch," which she had planned to debut Monday, leaked online Sunday morning.

Spears, 31, and her team combated the leak by moving the uptempo song's radio premiere to Sunday and by releasing the high-quality version on Vevo and YouTube.

As Lady Gaga did when "Applause" leaked in August, Spears and manager Adam Leber addressed the pop-music emergency on Twitter, keeping fans updated on the radio and iTunes release plans in a series of tweets:

Spears announced that "Work B**ch" will be released on iTunes on Sept. 17 at 12:01 a.m. ET.

Spears will appear on Good Morning America on Monday to make an announcement associated with her new song, possibly revealing a Las Vegas residency.
