If you're reading this article, chances are you're pretty well connected, at least in terms of your various social networks. But it can be overwhelming: there's Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, and Instagram. And those are just the major leaguers.
But Undrip, which has just launched out of private beta on our Disrupt stage, is ready to clear out all of the clutter to show you the very best of what's in your social feeds.
Undrip is an iOS app that pulls in Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Path, Pinterest (and the list goes on ) into one interface. But it doesn't show you everything: no status updates, no checkins and no FarmVille updates. Nothing but cool content from your friends, with no limits on format.
It follows your social behavior and filters out all of the useless noise. Unlike Flipboard and the like, Undrip doesn't focus on a topic, but rather it focuses on what's relevant to you.

The app lets you perform all the same actions as if you were on Facebook or Twitter, such as "likes," retweets, etc. You can even post straight from Undrip, whether it's re-sharing something cool you've found on Undrip or adding your own URL, image, etc.
You can also choose to go into "downpour" mode, which stops the service from automatically curating for you and pushes your entire stream through all social networks at once.
The company has raised a total of $850,000 thus far, and the app is available now for free in the App Store.

MA: What's your distribution plan?
Undrip: There's no silver bullet for distribution. We're continuing to adapt the app, but distribution is the thing we're all trying to figure out right now.
TD: Couldn't Facebook just build this out and change their interface?
Undrip: Facebook wouldn't want to introduce content from all the other networks. We integrate with everything Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, etc. and Facebook won't like that. Facebook has a lot of sharing, but it isn't a zero-sum game. There are a lot of communities that we love.
TD: What are you going to do about monetization?
Undrip: We're bringing in so much info about users and habits and relationships, and because it spans many social networks, we think we'll have very rich and complete data.
RS: What are the inputs into the algorithm?
Undrip: The beauty of Undrip is that it's all implicit. You don't have to say what topics you like or that these are the friends that are important to you. We'll analyze all that by looking at your relationships and what you're tweeting.
WC: This is a beautiful app, but there are seven other content-following apps, like Flipboard, Pulse, etc. The question is why do I need another compared to what I already have?
Undrip: If you don't have noise problems then you might be right. We're not just news. We're all media. We're not topic-based, but we're community-driven. There's nothing social about the other guys. They essentially put a skin on your news. We actually scan social networks. No status updates, no game awards. We're taking out all the noise to bring you just the cool stuff.
