Sim City Social will head to Facebook later this month, according to a Maxis representative who spoke during Electronic Arts' 2012 E3 press conference.
This marks EA's further expansion into the social space. They released The Sims on Facebook in 2011.
Sim City Social looks to be a direct competitor to Zynga's Facebook title Cityville. EA will also release a new Sim City PC title in February, 2013.

EA announced new social integration into their sports franchises, including Madden, FIFA and NBA Live.

Battlefield Premium will cost $50, and give fans early access to all five of the game's DLC packs.

It seems like a direct competitor to Call of Duty: Elite.

Dead Space 3, the space horror franchise, returns to consoles next year.

The big news about Dead Space 3 is that the game will be playable cooperatively.

FIFA 13 was a big feature of the presentation; it's still one of the most popular sports franchises in the world.

The new Madden runs on the new Infinity Engine, and will have social media elements.

A new entry to the Need for Speed is an open world title. It will be out Oct. 30.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter is another solid looking entry into the franchise, using the same engine as the Battlefield games.

Maxis said they are working on a Faceook release of Sim City, as part of EA's push to be on more social platforms.

But if you want to play a more robust Sim City it will be out February, 2012.
