Backflipping Baseball Pitch Looks Completely Un-Hittable

You've got your fastball, you've got your slider, you've got your curveball and you've got your change-up. Now meet a whole new beast: the backflipping baseball pitch.

Is this the world's first? We're not sure. Is it the first we've seen? For sure. It comes from the South Korean major leagues and the nimble pitcher in this YouTube video is actually actress and taekwondo expert Tae-Mi, who threw out the ceremonial first toss before a recent game.

If you think South Korean baseball fans get to have all the fun, you're right. Before Tae-Mi, there's was this mesmerizing gymnast's first pitch from July. Then, also last month, came this mascot dance-off that would have made the director of You Got Served weep tears of joy.

Of course, not all first pitches are created equal. Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo and pop idol Carly Rae Jepsen both failed miserably this summer. But there was also the touching story of how Google Fiber and a high-tech robot helped a sick child throw out the first pitch at an MLB game from 1,800 miles away.

Check out the cutting-edge backflipping baseball pitch for yourself above, then let us know what you think in the comments. For more sports Internet goodness, have some laughs with this gallery of the worst sports fails in sports history.
