If the 'N Sync rumors ahead of MTV's Video Music Awards have been tearing up your heart, we've got some good news for you. The boy band, which catapulted into fame in 1995 before splitting in 2002, joined Twitter on Saturday with a reassuring tweet.
'N Sync is rumored to reunite on the VMAs stage before or after group member and standout soloist Justin Timberlake accepts the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, which fellow "History of Rap" comedian Jimmy Fallon will present.
On Saturday, a day when musical acts were rehearsing, @NSYNC tweeted this:
Mic check, mic check one.. two... is this thing on?!

"That is indeed NSYNC's official Twitter handle," a Twitter rep confirmed to Mashable, shortly after giving the account the blue verification mark.
MTV has kept hush-hush on the likely reunion, saying "no comment" when we asked for confirmation. Timberlake's publicist also didn't respond to our inquiry.
'N Sync will reportedly sing several songs, according to Us Weekly:
"They will reenact some of their greatest videos in a medley," one source says, singling out the smash hit "Bye Bye Bye," from their 2000 album No Strings Attached. "Then Justin will sing his new song 'Take Back the Night' and get his [Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award]."
The last time 'N Sync performed at the VMAs was in 2001 with Michael Jackson. A year earlier, the group sang "This I Promise You," "Bye Bye Bye" and "It's Gonna Be Me." And in 1999, 'N Sync joined Britney Spears for "Hit Me, Baby One More Time" and "Tearin' Up My Heart."
VMA performances this year include Lady Gaga, Kanye West, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars and Drake. Presenters will be Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jared Leto, Kevin Hart, Emeli Sande and A$AP Rocky, with a "special appearance" from One Direction.
