Nothing is Guaranteed To Make Money Online So Get Off Your Ass And Get To Work

Over the past couple of days I have been private messaged and emailed from a few people, who seem to want me to be able to predict the future for them and make everything OK.

They ask questions like…

"If i do this, how much money can I make?"

"What do I have to do to make this much $$$  in 60 days?"

…and the list goes on and on and on.

I have bad news… NO ONE CAN GUARANTEE anything like that!

make money online by getting off your assNow before I sound too hypocritical… yes there are things that can be "Guaranteed"… but that does NOT mean that they work for absolutely everyone.

What I mean by that is I can 100% guarantee that if you join my Web2Mayhem system and you use my tools and strategies that you WILL get a dramatic increase in traffic. I can offer that because I back it up with a 100% money back guarantee and if you get lazy and do not do anything or you do a half ass job; then you will not get good results and I will simply give you your money back.

What I can NOT and will NEVER do however, is tell you that I guarantee that if you do A,B and C that you will earn this much money.

There are just WAY TOO many variables.

  1. Is the traffic made up of "buyers" or "freebie info seekers"
  2. Does the content relate to the audience and cause them to want to take action
  3. Does the offer convert
  4. and the list continues…

There is one secret to success… and one secret ONLY…

HARD WORK!

You need to understand that I have busted my ass off to create a business that earns 7+ figures a year… nothing "just happened". The affiliate marketing side of my business for example, is not made up of me making one site and suddenly earning $14000 a month (like a recent product claimed).

THAT IS BULLSHIT!

What you need to understand is it is all about testing, tracking and tweaking… and doing this over and over again. Not just building one site and BANG you are rich.

My personal affiliate marketing system is made up of making a certain number of new sites every month and then after a couple of months I look to see which ones have taken off and I focus consistent promotion and new content on them.

The thing is NO ONE can be 100% certain that any niche will make them money… you need to test and try lots of different things.

As a real life example (I am revealing this exact test, showing the domains and everything in the Web2Mayhem next week), I built 5 small niche blogs that are focused on amazon products. I built these blogs following a super easy strategy that was focused on what someone just starting out could realistically do. These are 5 related niches to each other but are each a tight niche blog that only contains a couple pieces of unique content and then is added into my auto content system (which web2mayhem members get) and after 2 months now, I have identified three of the five that are doing very well traffic wise and are converting and this month will net about $400.

The two that are not doing well I am going to give another month and if nothing, I will sell them… which will more then pay for the cost of them.

The point here is if I just built one or two of them, I might have built only the two that are making no money and from the initial research… they looked just as good as the winners did. I also made sure to build them correct, use great content and promote them.

You see the only guarantee is the effort… you have to do something to achieve results.

If you ever saw chariots of fire, a quote that really gets to me is when the character Sybil Gordon says to Harold…

"If you don't run, you can't win."

You see Harold was pouting because he got beaten badly in his last race and as a result refused to race anymore because if he could not win he did not want to race.

Well it goes the same with trying to make money online, you do not quit just because you did not succeed on a single attempt. You have to keep racing!

I have heard so many people cry a river saying "this or that does not work" only to find out they never really tried or tried some short cut and never put any real effort into it.

It is NOT…

  1. the tools
  2. the training
  3. the niche
  4. the… enter your own reason here

It IS the work. You have to use the tools, implement the training, test different niches and see what works and then keep doing what works.

Hope that speaks to you on some level and would love to hear a comment or two from you :)

  1. But surely I can make a similar guarantee? If you work hard and put the right effort in and don't sign up you'll still get that increase in traffic.

Just like you say in the post, a system can't make that difference – it's down to putting the effort in.

But if signing up to a scheme and investing some money is what people need to motivate themselves then good luck to them!

    • I have to disagree, a system can make the difference. You can work 20 hours a day 7 days a week and work hard and get nowhere if you aren't using the right system.

Systems work for you to leverage your effects to produce the desired results. Without the system it is likely you will just butt your head against the wall

  2. Jason:

The picture is cracking me up.

Man, I am so disappointed to you do not have a crystal ball! I bet that if I asked you how much money I could make sitting on my ass you could tell me…Nothing, right!

Systems do not start off on autopilot. They must be built first. And the are built by putting in the effort. Obviously as you mention there is more than just effort to be successful but without effort noone will be successful.

    • Glad you liked the image… it made me laugh when i made it.

Well said Rick: there is more than just effort to be successful but without effort noone will be successful.

  3. this is by far the bluntest and how truth about this online thing..no matter what you know or do ,if you dont work hard and anticipate failure .
    you will never make it.
    that is the hard truth…

  4. Hey dude I must say I like your blog's design and the image too, you really made that? cool! And I couldn't agree more with the post. I took more than a year before I could make a buck online and there's no better way to know this than experience. You can join the best programs online but true residual growing income that one can be proud of comes from handwork.

  5. I am interested to join the system. However, i do not know much about it. Can you please tell me more? Thanks a lot!

  6. Hello Jason,

that couldnt be more true…then it really is!
To receive we must work and hard to keep it!

    regards

  7. Yeah,I believe that HARDWORK is the key to our success. No doubt.

  8. I learned that affiliate marketing takes time to give results and many times those results are random unless we are using lists or blog to redirect users. Hubpages, squidoo, infobarrel gives us random results with affiliate marketing but got to start somewhere.

  9. @Rick Bird – That's so true. The easiest guarantee is that if you don't do anything then I can guarantee that you will fail. Hows that for a guarantee? I'm probably gonna start promoting that one on my affiliate sites.

From now on it will be included as a big fat disclaimer!!

  10. I love it when I still see "marketers" promising you the sky overnight. Buy my product and get gazillion dollars overnight right?

Hard work, focus, more hard work and more focus…

    Keep on keeping on. Thanks

  11. I agree completely Jason. I see people every day asking if my bookmarking service will land them on page one in google, or if a system i promote will make them money in a week. it gets old after about the 20th time in a week of hearing the same questions.

You have to put in work and effort, no matter what some people say. there is no get rich quick overnight success.

I don't make near as much as you do, but in my 2 years online, I have seen people online 3 times longer than me that haven't made any money at all.
Most of those that I talk to just bounce from one thing to another looking for the get rich quick pill and never put in the effort it takes.

  12. I agree. No one can guarantee the results that we want. It's only us that can guarantee our success, depending on the effort and hard work we put into. Dedication and hard work are the keys to success, and once became successful, start working smart than working hard.

    Regards,

    Gary

  13. I do agree to the title, but my work need my ass stick to chair, anyway whatever you do, earn money online or other places, hard working is necessary

  14. Oh, I need say more, what make you be successful?

I think determination is important, but after thinking, you must do what you think!

    tecsun radio

  15. Absolutely agree with the title. Nothing is guaranteed to send you traffic forever, and even if they do, it's not guaranteed to convert.

  16. Man…I liked this post. Well said and it's about time someone said it. So many people looking for the magic push button system. Folks it ain't gonna happen unless you work hard and commit yourself to whatever system, model, business, opportunity etc…you decide to take.

    Paul

  17. Even if online marketers offers wonderful package to say guarantee you to have an earnings, it will still be useless if you yourself won't take that hard work. Each one of us must work hard in order to be successful in whatever we do in life.

  18. It's definitely important to try different things to see what works! Especially since everything changes, you really don't want to put all your eggs in one basket.

Focus on the demographic and offer products for that demographic, it doesn't necessarily have to be related to your website content.

    Good luck everyone! =)

    Brett
    I heart Internet marketing

  19. I love the pic! It'd go nicely as a temp tattoo! I'd have to agree with you on the hard work. I think anybody, including myself, got interested in working on the net when they heard about the potential to make lots of money with it. I thought it'd be really easy, and in actuality it is 'easier' when you have a great system, but easy is relative to the amount of knowledge you have to apply to what you're doing. And that learning curve always takes some time. For some people it's quite fast but for most it will take a lot of time and devotion and lots and lots of practice to achieve your goal. But when you do, I imagine it will be worth every bit of effort you put it. Reading that you make a 7 figure annual income, suggests you achieved what you set out to do. So, I'll take your advice and get off my ass and hopefully I can say the same about my own income in the years to come! Thanks!

  20. I have been telling people the same thing about making money online. There are no guarantees in this business. There are simply way to many variables that you cannot predict accurately. Even people that have been doing this for years still miss the mark on some projects. They end up being total flops even though you thought they had real potential.

There is no substitute for hard work period.

  21. You've hit the nail on the head I'm tired of people expecting some sort of quick fix and money just to flow into their bank account for sitting on their arse all day. I don't think people realise that if they want to cash in on the internet they have to really really work at it.

  22. There is a magic wand to make money online. I personally have bought many "blueprints" or formula books on internet marketing and SEO stuff. Some of them are very specific which is useful and some of them are just too general to implement. Even with the correct blueprint, LOTS OF HARD WORK is still needed after setting up a blog or site which is relatively easy. The difficult part is writing good content for the site and then building quality backlinks for SEO purpose. One simply can't monetize the site without having a decent amount of traffic to the site. Then again do not expect immediate results. Patience and perserverance traits you must have if you want to be successful in internet marketing.

  23. Hi Jason,

I like what you have to say about no guarantee and also the picture.

Virtually nobody wants to hear about hard work which I think is why so many people promise piles of money as a result of buying their course or whatever.

As for your Mayhem I think that you already said that it works only with PC or was it something else?

    Vance

  24. YES.I DO BELIEVE THAT THERE IS NO guarantee ABOUT ANY ONLINE WORK BECAUSE EVERY PERSON HAS DIFFERENT ABILITIES AND MIND SO THE WORK RESULTS LL BE ALSO DIFFERENT

  25. Making money online has always been a controversial topic. And it's not easy as well. So,i agree with you here about the importance of Hard work which is needed to make online money factor working in one's favor.Great post!!

  26. I agree with hard work. I also think you need to be focussed. There are so many "make money online" products out there, and it can make your head spin. Pick one which has a proven system and stick with it. I wonder how many readers have products they have bought which are burning a hole on their harddrive?

I've found I have so many ideas and not enough time to implement them so I'm starting to outsource more, which is helping get things done!

  27. You said it. Hard work is the only way to succeed at anything. Is anyone here using web2mayhem. I use comment kahuna but I am looking fr some feedback on web2mayhem if anyone has tried it.

  28. Work , Work and Work (www). Its the only thing i found to make any moeny from blogging or any internet activity.

    and one more thing..

The header image is very coooooool………

  29. Im looking for a different way to make money and I think this is it! I agree though to see results with any thing you only get out what you put in. The more I read the more Im interested.

  30. It definitely takes a lot of work and persistence

  31. To receive we must work and hard to keep it!

    regards

  32. Hi Jason,

So many people come online to make money and think it is easy. If it was so easy why are there still so many people here.

"Buy my course and have thounds of $$$$$$ in the next 7 days"

If all these headlines and courses, ebooks where so true why are there so many marketers still here. So many courses are selling the dream.

There are some genuine people here and there is good content and information. It's just finding the right one. But as with anything if the individual does not take action and implement there findings how are they going to achieve their goals?

    Craig

  33. It is not easy making money online because if it was, then everyone would be rich

  34. Hi John,

It is so true what you say. In every forum for every product, you will always find the 'haters' for want of a better word, the lazy so and so's who didn't make $1 million after 12 hours so obviously it is the product at fault, not the fact that all they have done is uploaded some script to a website and nothing else.

    Great post

    Many thanks

    Simon

  35. Hi Jason,
What no Guarantees! I'm dissapointed.Next you'll be telling me there is no magic button. You know the one press this tomorrow you will be a millionaire.

    Keep up the good work.

    Pete

  36. The good news about hard work is that it will surely eliminate most of the competition for your keywords.
It is also important to over deliver once your target audience reaches your site. This business requires a lot of work.

  37. if you want to succedd online you have to get out there and build something that people will pay for. There are millions of people making money online it could prove to be massive in years to come
