Is It Too Early For a 'Charmed' Remake? Alyssa Milano Thinks So

CBS is reportedly working on a remake of supernatural TV series Charmed, one of the most-binged shows on such streaming services as Netflix and Amazon Instant Video.

Fans of the "Charmed Ones," who used their witchcraft for good to thwart evil in the WB series that aired from 1998 to 2006, may see the sisterhood return on CBS thanks to CBS TV Studios and the Tannenbaum Company, according to Vulture and EW.

The original series starred Shannen Doherty, Alyssa Milano and Holly Marie Combs as the three witches. Rose McGowan was brought on as a long-lost half sister in season four — spoiler alert — after Doherty's character died.

Milano shared her thoughts about the show's possible re-emergence on Twitter:

If the reboot happens, it will be fascinating to see how people respond to it on social media, particularly Twitter, which was just starting up in 2006 when the show ended.

Milano previously told Mashable that viewing parties in those days are comparable to the live-tweeting sessions viewers have today on Twitter.

"I think live-tweeting during the show helps to get people more emotionally invested, and makes them feel that they have a voice in the show's success," Milano said. "In the Melrose Place days, people used to have viewing parties. I think live-tweeting is the modern-day version of that."

However, not everyone is thrilled about the potential remake news, as shown in these tweets:
