You don't need to be following the PGA Tour to appreciate this golf story.
One day, curiosity struck photographer James Friedman and he decided to cut a golf ball from his collection in half.
The cross-sections revealed something unexpected a beautiful display of colors and layers. He writes, "To my surprise, what I found inside inspired me to consider that I could discover, in the unlikeliest of places, elegant formal qualities and surprising metaphorical possibilities."
"Incidentally," Friedman writes, "I do not play golf."
